During the lockdown, many cyclists have taken to the streets of Brussels. There have been some inconveniences, like social distancing, but these have been largely compensated by the advantages. The air is cleaner, we're in better physical shape and the capital's nightmare traffic is just a distant memory.
Using bikes rather than cars is a habit we should stick to. 40 km of bike lanes have been created in readiness for the gradual end of the lockdown. We have done everything we can to make it as easy as possible for Brussels' residents to stay in the saddle. All they have to do is keep cycling!
